Olive Us Roasted Broccoli or Cauliflower

We can eat this by the pan!!  Roasting your broccoli or cauliflower in our beautiful olive oils will actually make you want to eat them, not just because they’re good for you, but because they taste so great!! Many veggies are fabulous when they’re roasted with almost any of our beautifully fresh extra virgin Olive Us olive oils! Give it a try!

– Approx. 1 1/4 lb broccoli crowns, cut into florets with larger pieces cut in half lengthwise (about 8 cups)

– 1/4 Cup Olive Us UP Extra Virgin Olive Oil, divided (or Olive Us Tuscan Herb, Garlic, Butter Olive Oil, etc.)

– 2 garlic cloves, minced

– 1/4 teaspoon cracked pepper (i.e. -Olive Us Applewood Smoked Pepper)*

– 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)


Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place broccoli in a large bowl and toss with 3 Tbsp of the olive oil. Sprinkle with sea salt and cracked pepper. Put on large rimmed baking sheet and roast approximately 12 minutes (as oven temperatures vary, keep an eye on the veggies as they cook to ensure oven isn’t too hot). In small bowl, mix together the remaining olive oil and garlic. Drizzle garlic & oil mixture over broccoli and toss to coat. Roast about 5 minutes longer or until broccoli begins to brown, but not burn. Season to taste with sea salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

*Option:  instead of cracked black pepper, try 1/8 tsp dried crushed red pepper
